Who I am
My name is Heleen and I am a professional coach and consultant, helping strong, powerfull women live to their potential in a – still – predominated men’s world.
What I do
I love helping women growing their selfesteem and selfworth, in doing what they are good at… without loosing their power to becoming someone they are not. So they can enjoy being who they are and attract positive things in their life. I love seeing them in their power, both volunerable and powerfull…. with a feminine twitch. It’s all about being attractive and feeling attractive. It’s about being aware of their own intuitive senses. You don’t have to be a man to be succesfull. It’s all up to you and you alone.
Why I do this
Coming from a technical background, having worked in several male-dominated companies, I found myself trying to be ‘one of the boys’, instead of being myself. Over the years I felt as if i was more concerned about being what other people expected me to be or act, instead of asking myself how I did really feel in any given situation. It was as if i was torn apart. Then, reality kicked in…. I got involved in a car accident while working. To cut a long story short: I was asked to leave the company as they decided there was no longer a need for my job. I was unemployed for a couple of months, found a new job in consultancy and worked my bud off. Although I never realized it before: I discovered the glass ceiling! In all its faces: colleagues with better payments, no promotion chances since I was working parttime (a left over from my accident) and … worst of all: I didn’t feel as if I was taken serious in what I was doing. Fortunately, my customers were very enthousiastic about me, which helped me decide to start my own business in 2001.
A point of no return in my life was that car accident. It had a great impact on my life, both personal as professional. I felt victimised, discriminated, angry with the world. In my head I was still that ‘high potential’ … but physically I felt as if I was an old pensioner. Now, many years later I consider that moment in september 1989 as a gift. It has forced me to go my own path. Taking responsibility for my life and the happyness in it. I was able to go from faith to my destiny: Inspiring and guiding people to believe in who they are… no matter what! To get out of their comfort zone, to stop looking at themselves as being a victim of circumstances. To empower them to their own destiny. To embrase life with a positive attitude, even when things do go wrong. After all… it’s all about attraction!
